Thoughts... The Absent-Minded Party

Obviously there are intelligent people in all walks of life, I will not deny that.  However, I am alarmed at the ineptitude of the Republican party. The most recent example is the gift they have been handed in President Obama. I know he has the MSM and a "billion" dollars, so most people will have to make their decision based on their wallets.  Considering the true unemployment rate, cost of living and general quality of life, Obama is a sitting duck.  So why do I see the possibility of another 4 years of Obamanism?

Ever since I have been able to vote, I was told the Republicans are the better party for the people. But they are the "dumb" party. I am not one to take someone's word without proof, so I did my research and decided that I am closer to the Republicans than the Democrats (just not "dumb")!  Republican policies and beliefs are better for our country in all aspects. When I used to listen to Rush, (A story for another day) he said the Democrats were the "feel good" party. He was and is still right-on.  I don't blame Perot for Clinton's election. It was because Bush raised taxes and all of the votes were against him.  Imagine that, elect a Democrat because of a tax hike?  Insane!

All of the people currently running for the Republican nomination are intelligent, better than Obama, and at the same time, self destructive. Even those considering a run are most likely unelectable. Anyone that questions the qualifications of the potential Republican nominees obviously has no idea what a disaster we have in office. But Obama has the voice, so we need to avoid the self destruction.

Bachmann started off strong, but Iowa is her birth state. A run from the House is a difficult road. Then Perry took the lead but should have waited for his back surgery to heal. The pain killers made him live up to the "dumb" party label.  Cain should have addressed the allegations immediately. Either they are true or false.  Just say it and refuse to comment anymore. Now Newt is blaming VA for his campaign's inability to comply with the rules.  Paul's foreign policy, "9/11 truther" statements and drug legalization?  He is an extreme Libertarian. So who is left?  No offense to those not mentioned, but it is Romney. While he would be better than Obama, I am tired of settling for the lesser of two evils.  Let's face it, Romney is a Blue Dog Democrat at best.  I will not vote for him in the Primary, but we need to accept the fact that he will probably get the nomination. Oh, this is a guy that couldn't beat McCain in 2008!

Our only hope is to obtain control of Congress.  But the Primary POTUS run is doing nothing but hurting that possibility.  The current House is taking a beating and their defense is lame. They have actually made Obama look better. They will never get fair media coverage and have to live with it.  Just do the right thing.  What a Catch 22.

So what do I think of the Republican party?  They have great ideas but lack people skills and a voice. Therefore, they are the "Absent-Minded" Party.

Thoughts... On the War on Christmas and Hanukkah

Let's face it... The war on Christmas and Hanukkah is an example of minority rule. The United States is a Judeo-Christian nation.  So, why have we abandoned our roots and allowed the minority to make a wonderful time of year become stressful? Are the Muslims leading this effort? Nope. They are the next wave to attack our nation's laws. So, I will save that for another time. It is the Atheists. Don't be fooled by the statistics that include all non-religious people. This all started to become mainstream with Madalyn Murray-O'Hare, as she was known at the time of her death. While I agree that prayer shouldn't be forced on anyone; I also believe we have allowed our courts to change it to an outright ban on religion.

Our Constitution allows the freedom to practice your choice of religion. I.E. The government cannot force a specific religion on the people.  It is not a ban on religion. Religion is a part of free speech.  Heck, it is in the same amendment. "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."

We, the majority need to stand up and defend our right to practice our religions. Happy Holidays is our choice if we wish to say it. But I should be able to say Merry Christmas. If you don't like it, ignore me. If you wish me a Happy Hanukkah, I will reply, Happy Hanukkah. What's the big deal?  We need to stop being such a sensitive society. Right now we are a bunch of jellyfish with no backbone. The atheist minority are dictating what we can and cannot do.  This has to stop.  I wrote this before I heard O'Reilly cover the people in MA standing up to overturn a Santa ban.  I applaud that action and that is an example of what I believe we need to do.  There was no "occupation," just a peaceful protest.

Lighten up and have a Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Happy New Year, or Happy anything you believe in. Just don't tell me what I can and cannot say.

Intoduction

I decided the best way to start this blog is to introduce myself and let you know who I am before I post potentially controversial opinions.  So, why 3Jeeps3 - 100% American? Well, as a private sector worker, it is best to avoid associating my beliefs with my day-to-day job. I am not ashamed of my views, but I do need a job. We all know these conversations are public. Oh I do have 3 Jeeps.

I am a conservative on just about every issue.  But I love to debate and I am willing to change my mind if presented a reasonable opinion. I have no problem agreeing to disagree.  I never intentionally offend. Born in PA and live in MD. So, I live in a liberal, tax hell detention center. I am a Christian that supports Israel and India, our only true Middle East allies. I especially respect legal immigrants that really appreciate our great nation. They see the decline before most of us because they have lived it.

For what it is worth, I am from the east side of PA, so I am a Philly sports fan. Feel free to rip on the teams; they live by the motto: Maybe next year.

I guess that is a good start. You will decide if you want to listen to me.  Check out my Twitter account and you will see I follow a diverse group.  I look forward to discussions and debates.  Everything may not interest you, but I am sure something will. God Bless.
